Rolex does not publish a reference 52517. The Perpetual 1908 line arrived in 2023 in three catalog references: 52506 in 18 ct white gold, 52508 in 18 ct yellow gold, and 52509 in 950 platinum. Replica sellers use 52517 as their own listing code for a batch of watches. It is not a Rolex number.

A watch sold under that code copies the look of a 1908. It does not carry a Rolex movement, a gold case, or a Rolex certification.

What the real Rolex 1908 is

Rolex launched the Perpetual 1908 at Watches and Wonders Geneva in March 2023. It replaced the Cellini line. Published specs:

What the code 52517 does in a listing

Replica sellers assign internal SKUs. A code groups a factory, a dial color, a case finish, or a shipment. Two sellers can use 52517 for different watches. The number carries no authentication value and no factory record that a buyer can check.
